Andrea’s seven years working as a School Counselor in the public school system gives her a unique perspective when working with children, teachers, school staff and parents. As a parent herself, she uses her combined experiences and psychological training to coach parents and teachers to use techniques that are consistent and effective in managing behavior and preserving self-esteem and autonomy.
Keeping compassion and grace in mind, Andrea works with clients to meet their goals, step by step, removing barriers along the way. She laughs, cries and celebrates successes with her clients and truly enjoys her work with individuals, couples and families.
A Native Houstonian and a University of Houston graduate, Andrea loves her city and its southern hospitality, despite the heat. A strong work ethic helped her graduate with her Bachelors degree in Psychology while working full-time. Many years later, she earned her Masters degree in Educational Psychology and worked as a School Counselor concurrently earning her LPC practicum hours.
Andrea’s work is generative – she loves working with parents and families to strengthen the weaker areas and maintain what is already working well.
Andrea has two fantastic children and one spoiled dog. She spends her time with her family, loves to bake, exercise, travel and play games.
